10 Month Old Miniature Australian Shepherd

We have 2 cats and small dog! We recently brought home a 10 month old Mini Aussie! He’s doing great with the other dog! He does great with one of the cats!

Unfortunately, he was sprayed by a skunk before! He thinks my cat is a skunk! He’s growled and barked at the cat! (Cat is black and white kind looks like a skunk.)

I want to give this dog a chance but I can’t risk my cats life! Should we just return him?

He’s also a very timid dog! He was on a working farm and I’m guessing he wasn’t a very good worker so he needed a new home!
