Getting an Aussie? Don't Get Scammed
Hello Aussie Fans,
Spammers and scammers are everywhere on the internet. On our Facebook Page and in our Facebook Group, it has become a part-time job keeping up with them. They post comments at all hours of the day and night, sometimes dozens of times, over and over.
They say that they've created a wonderful new Aussie group that they would love to invite you to join. Or they claim to be all about Aussie adoptions or rescues in order to tug at your heartstrings.
Sadly, they are just scammers who want you to join their group so they can gain your trust and rip you off. Many of these low-lives will get people to send them payment for puppies. Of course, there are no puppies and there never were any puppies; it was just a ruse to bilk trusting people who let the excitement of getting a puppy blind them to the red flags.
Fortunately, our moderators and I are usually quick to delete their comments and ban them—sometimes within minutes. These criminals are a plague on the internet and they are everywhere, but if you ever do see them on our Facebook Page or in our Facebook Group before we purge them, do not click on any of their links or ever send them any money.
