My Australian Shepherd is barking and jumping at kids when they come over scaring them even when they are sitting still. No matter what we do he doesn't stop.
I've tried to get the kids to positively engage with him. It’s hard to get a kid to engage and give treats to help the situation because they are frightened. I've tried redirecting with treats. Not sure other than put him in his crate what else to try.
He also barks at pretty much anything that moves. Running water, moving vehicles, exhaust from engines you name it. Will he grow out of all this or any tips on how to get him to stop?
We have lots of acreage and he is very active and exercised many times a day. He had puppy training at 2 different places when he was around 4-months-old.
He is a very smart and affectionate dog but has very odd habits. Anyone have any ideas? I would be glad to try them.
