At What Age Do Australian Shepherd's Growth Plates Close?

So at what age do Aussie's growth plates close? My pup is now 11 months and has so much energy! I swim him every day as a way for him to have fun, but keep his impact low on his growing body. At what age would it be ok to start trail running with him?
