Australian Shepherd Coat Color?

My almost 4-month old Aussie pup has very unique markings to me and I’ve had trouble determining whether he’s a light blue merle or a darker red merle. I’m just curious and was wondering if someone could tell me what “color” he might be classified as.

I could be wrong but to me, your Aussie looks like a blue merle. Beautiful markings!
