Australian Shepherd Eye Rim Question

Should I worry about a black spot developing on my dog's pink eye rim? It looks like just a mole or freckle. Her vision is good.

Is it just pigmentation, or sun exposure? Something else? It developed fast, like in a couple of months.

Did you ever get an answer? My Aussie puppy with similar coloring just had a discoloration pop up that looks just like this one.

I never got an answer but the vet said it was fine. It's been quite some time and she is great, no issues. She has also had more pop up in different places. I think it's just their coloring.
