Australian Shepherd Marking in the House

We rescued a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd about 2 months ago. He clearly really had no proper training. He is SLOWY learning the law of the land here, BUT my one constant frustration is—he keeps marking in the house!
We got him neutered and he had no medical problem. We even have a doggy door, so no excuse that he can’t get outside!
We have 4 other dogs that NEVER mark in the house! I’m at my wits end. When I catch him I definitely get on him, but I can’t get it through his head not to!
I’m not giving up on him yet, but I can’t have him marking in the house either!
Please help with suggestions. TIA
