This is our beautiful boy Cody! He is a male red merle born March 21, 2009. We just got him a couple of weeks ago from HartsAfire Miniature Australian Shepherds.

We lost our beloved Sammy, a 15yo Sheltie, in November & my son & I were itching for a new dog. My son wanted a puppy in particular because he never had a puppy - Sammy was 7 when Tyler was born. My husband didn't want another Sheltie because it would remind him too much of Sammy. After looking at all the breeds, I kept coming back to the herding breed & the Aussie in particular. Unfortunately, I didn't want that size of dog. Then I found the mini's! He is the perfect package for our family. We are looking forward to training him & eventually getting him into agility with my son. It amazes me how smart he is and the things he has figured out already.
