Do You Think This an Australian Shepherd Mix? And Question About Puppy Coat Length

I rescued our pup from the Humane Society. His mom was a Terrier and we don’t know what his dad was but with his coloring it looks as though he could have Australian Shepherd in him.

Thoughts?

Also, any thoughts on his coat getting a little longer (like a short-haired Aussie)?
