Dog Trainers

Hi, I need to locate a trainer for my 2 1/2 yr old Aussie. He is very protective and is aggressive towards people that come to our home and walk in front of our house.

He is fine around people he knows. Any suggestions on trainers in the Lansing MI area? Or what to look for in a trainer? Thank you Donna

You might check at your local PetSmart or other pet store. We have had really good luck with the trainers at PetSmart. Also, you could check your newspaper for listings or online, search for dog trainers in your area.

Some Aussies are more protective at home than away from home. I had an Aussie that was just very territorial and protected his home turf. He was not like that away from home, but just fine at dog shows and training class.
Sorry I can't help you with training but I live in Louisiana.
