First Time Australian Shepherd Pup

Hey, I'm thinking about getting an Australian Shepherd puppy but not sure if I should or not.

I have a 7 year old Jack Russell cross who seems bored at home when I'm at uni and I want to get him a friend to play with. I have found a gorgeous Aussie puppy ready in three weeks but am a bit concerned I won't be able to give her the amount of exercise she needs.

Will playing with my other dog, as well as some frisbee games, dog park visits a couple of times a week, and a daily walk/run be enough? I also intend to get her some stimulating toys to play with.

Please let me know if this won't be enough for an Aussie Shepherd and if I should let her go to someone who will spend 4-5 hours daily playing with her!

You got it covered

Seems that you have all the bases covered. You'll be a fine Aussie dad. We have three, the two boys play all the time.

Exercise

Talk with the breeder about this issue - my Aussies play with my Siberian Huskies and they do get a lot of exercise. I believe the the Jack Russel will add to your regimen of exercise.
