Food For Over Weight Mini Aussie?

I walk my Mini Aussie at least 2x a day and he gets exercise, but he is 5 lbs over weight. Any food recommendations to help him shed a few?

If your pup is not getting too many treats then consider reducing the amount of his regular food. We did this with our pup, reducing the regular amount in small amounts and accurately measuring each meal, until we got her to the weight we wanted her to have...then we just maintain that with careful, measured amounts and monthly weight monitoring. This may take several months so the food reduction is not too much of a shock.

I have a mini that weighs 29lbs and is a little heavy but vet said just cut back on her kibble. She gets 1/2 a cup 2xday and only carrots and celery as treats which she loves. I feed her Costco small adult kibble.
