Frozen Meat Chew Instead Of Chewing On Bone?

by jcrply
(Florida)

My dog's diet includes about 1/3 of the calories from raw meat/veggie/meaty bone. The raw is a separate meal. (Breakfast is grain-free canned, lunch is raw, dinner is grain-free kibble). The only bones I've fed so far are raw chicken necks. I am avoiding large weight-bearing bones and marrow bones. I've read that beef back and neck bones are safe... but these don't seem to be available. I was wondering if an occasional chunk of solidly frozen meat would be a good chew for a dog. Does anyone know if this is a good idea?
