I am newly going to be getting a place with my better half, but even now we have problems since he is allergic to her hair. She sheds so much that I don't know the best ways to keep it under control. I take her to get groomed, but I feel that it doesn't really help with the shedding, it just makes her look clean and trimmed.
My mom bought the dog for me and I didn't realize when I was younger how much she really needed to be groomed. Do the shedding shampoos even work? Is there are shorter hair cut that I can give her to keep the shedding down?
Thank you,
Chelsea and Fury
Note from Anton Check out some of the other posts regarding trimming. The consensus is that trimming their fur too short causes problems as their skin becomes more exposed to the sun without the protection of the fur. However you can thin it out and get a lot of extra fur removed using tools like the FURminator deShedder.
