How I Can Get My Australian Shepherd Unafraid of the Leash?

My 8-month-old Australian Shepherd is very scared of the leash. I've bought many different leashes and he's scared of them all.

I need help on how to get him used to them. He is also scared of hats and just random things. Can someone help?
