I Found a Dumped Dog and Want to Re-Home Him

Someone that has no business owning a dog dumped this poor fellow at the Lake of the Ozarks in Mo.

For three weeks he lived in the timber under a cedar tree. Every time a car would come down the hill he would come out to see if it was his owner and when it wasn’t he would drop his head and turn and go back under his tree. He had drug empty tuna cans and empty food containers back up to where he was living. I started taking food to him and after two weeks got where he would let me up to him without him running off.

He is less than a year old, not aggressive at all and needs a lot of attention.

I want to re-home him but don’t want to give him to a family that don’t know how to take care of him.

Any suggestions on how to get him to a good home?
