I Want An Aussie... But, I Have Alot Of Family

There are nine kids, four other dogs, chickens, cats... in my house. But nothing for a herding dog to really herd. Will this cause a problem to the kids or animals if the shepherd becomes bored? Will it herd them?

the aussie could herd the kids, but if you keep it busy and if the other dogs have similar energy to an aussie then they should get along. if you correct the dogs herding behavior then they will learn that that is not what you want them to do. you will just need to keep their minds stimulated and make sure that they get enough exercise, then they wont be destructive. aussies are very active and loving dogs so if they have playmates and owners who want another cuddle bug then they are excellent dogs.

i hope you get one! i love them so much! post a picture if you do get one!!
