Leaky Bladder

We have a 4 1/2 month Mini. She leaks alot when she is excited but also she hates her leash and every time we try to put it on her she pees all over. Any suggestions?

First I would have her checked for a urinary tract infection. I hope you have not had her spayed yet, because early spay and neuter can cause irreparable damage to the urinary tract. If those things are not the problem, it may be something she just needs to outgrow. Just be very gentle with her and don't surprise her or sneak up on her to put on her leash. Talk to her softly and praise her.

Piddling..not a health issue but genetic, for my pup..

Had exactly the same. Vet said my girl had submissive issues. Told me not to get mad when he *piddled*, as that would just cause more stress. So with time and patience, she now lets me put her leash on just fine and doesn't piddle. She's almost a year old now. Most of time now she is great..only when the grandkids arive does she still *piddle*. I expect she will totally grow out of this. She's a wonderful dog. And a little shadow to me.
