My Andy will be 12 on the 29th of February. He came into my life shortly after his 9 week birthday and has been my best friend ever since. He likes riding in the car, long walks in the park, playing in the snow, and his crunchy dog biscuits when he comes in after being outside all day. He also loves his squeaky toys (as a matter of fact that's what he's doing at the moment, driving mama crazy).
I always knew that I wanted a smart dog, but after attending a National Western Rodeo and watching the "Working Dogs" my mind was made up. He came to me from a breeder in New Mexico, it's funny because she was going to be in the Denver Area delivering some of the puppies from the same litter and "Andy" was the last puppy that hadn't been bought. I took my kids with me to "just look at him" and it was just love at first sight and he quickly became the newest family member. A love that has grown stronger over the last 12 years from us both.
