My Dog Eats Too Fast and Gets Hiccups After Eating

My 3-year-old male Aussie/German Shepherd cross gets hiccups after eating. He does eat quickly even though I feed him in a divided bowl to try slowing him down. The hiccups last about 3-4 minutes.

Cheers.

I put my Aussie's kibble in a Kong Wobbler and serve it that way for both her meals. I do it because she was eating too fast but also to exercise her brain. She seems to like it and it takes mealtime from 3 minutes to 10.

Try a larger kibble I have mine on a large breed dogfood she grabs a mouth full drops it and eats 1 kibble at a time.
