Naive New Mother (Bitch)

I had a litter out of a leased bitch who did not clean her pups. Because it was my first litter, I didn't notice this until the third day until I had their tails docked. I was frantic, cleaning the pups 5 x 10 times a day. I called my mentor, and she told me to put some peanut butter on the babies' butts, and the mother would pick up on it. Well, it worked like magic, thank goodness!
