I have a 6 month old Toy Aussie who is very intelligent and obedient, like many Aussies. Although, every once in a while he will snap and curl his lip, show his teeth and some times try to snip. This happens sometimes when playing with a toy/eating a treat and my roommates dog (a 60 lb Pitbull mix) is around, if a stranger tries to pick him up, or sometimes when abruptly woken up. I know the triggers of each of the occurrences, I just am not certain how to get him to stop.
He also barks like crazy if someone knocks at the front door, but not always... I don't know if anyone knows if there is something I can do about that problem as well. Like I said, he is just a pup, but I am afraid that if I can't get him to stop these habits now, then he will continue to do them later on. If anyone else has had similar experiences or could be helpful in anyway I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
