Tejas was born on May 3rd near Denton, Texas from a purebred blue merle mother who was on the petite side. His father was a very large black tri Border Collie who was a working dog. They were both very good parents to their first (accidental) litter.
Tejas has a great personality, is extra careful and loving around children, started getting his feet wet at Parker Pastures in Gunnison, CO at only two and a half months which consisted of learning not to terrorize chickens and moving some pigs around. He spent his first six months heavily socialized with children and animals.
He is now just over nine months and a very exhuberant companion who loves to ruffhouse, give kisses, go outdoors and get into mischief. I am currently entertaining a raw food diet for him and he was just switched to Blue Buffalo Chkn & Rice Puppy Food.
At 7 weeks, he hiked w/me over Triangle Pass to Conundrum Hot Springs in Aspen being carried most of the time in a baby bjorn front pack. :)
