Why Does My Aussie Whine When I Get Ready?

When I get ready, for just about anything, my 10 month old Australian Heeler whines. When I put my makeup on, she whines the entire time. Same when I'm doing my hair. Why does she whine while I get ready? This question is purely out of curiosity and if you've had a similar situation I'd love for you to share!
