Yeast Skin Infection

I don't know why my boy came down with a yeast skin infection. He is almost 6 years old and we live in Florida. I was taking him to a groomer. He never gets really dirty and I dry him after walks in rain, and even on a regular basis his feet and underside. Any ideas? How can I prevent this from happening again? I have been considering grooming him myself in between groomer visits.
